The normative Appendix C of XHTML 1.1 - Module-based XHTML includes C.1. SGML Open Catalog Entry for XHTML 1.1. There are various references to SGML Open in the bibliography, but it appears to be unused. Apart from the fact that it's nice to have an SGML Open Catalog entry, is there anything that XHTML processors and module builders are supposed to _do_ with these? Are they a required part of a module? They don't appear to be, but there's a comment in 6.4.4: >Your modules can be included here. Use the basic form defined above, and >be sure to include the public FPI definition in your catalog file for >each module that you define. You may also include W3C-defined modules at >this point.
