Is there any list over which elements are allowed where? I do not wish to read the DTD, it is not human-friendly :-) It's not intended for human consumption: it's machine-readable. My Web book is full of diagrams showing the structure of the DTDs (The World Wide Web Handbook, ITCP, ISBN 1-85032-205-8) Download a copy of the Near&Far Demo DTD viewer (there's a copy on ftp://imbolc.ucc.ie/pub/sgml/nfdemo.zip) and use it to open a DTD: it will display the tree-structure and you can click on any element to see what it's allowed to contain. ///Peter
