Re: why TITLE, not TITLE? (fwd)

Once upon a time Paul Prescod shaped the electrons to say...

Easy. I'm not worried about ME - I can code valid HTML off the top of my
head 99% of the time. (Mistakes in the 1% are usually typos.) But I need
a DTD I can force others to validate against, so I don't have to check their
work. And HTML Pro is completely unsuited to that because it is so loose
about things as to be silly. It appears to allow any tag that anyone might
have thought of considering at one point. I don't consider it 'Pro' at all,
not by a long shot.

So I end up making my own DTD modifications when I need to. Which to date
is just some tweaks to 3.2 - but if the W3C doesn't put out some kind of
3.2+CSS DTD I may have to do that myself too.
