I'm fairly new to this list, so apologies if this has already been discussed. In the 4.0 draft, much is made of the lang attribute--particularly in use by speech-based user agents. However, there is no way to specify multiple languages within a <title> tag, as no tags are allowed within titles. It's fairly simple to imagine titles in multiple languages. In fact, this issue came up because I am currently in the process of HTMLizing such a document. Its title is "Oak (Quercus) Disorder: Oak Wilt". "Quercus" is the scientific (i.e., Latin) name for oak, but there is no way to indicate that "Quercus" is Latin, while the rest of the title is English. At the same time, I recognize that there is good reason for not allowing tags within titles. I don't have any suggested solution for this; I'm just interested in hearing people's comments. On an unrelated note, does anyone know which versions of the major browsers support style sheets, and in particular, CSS? Chuck
