Rob writes: another element for HTML, a good copanion to INS and DEL would be a DATED element that indicates the enclosed material is dated, with optional start and end dates: RANGE and SPOT from HTML3 and HTML Pro could do this. Even better if (as you suggest) it was done with metadata. I think a specific element just for dates is a bit too specialist for the ephemeral nature of the Web. Better to author in a longer-term format which provides this kind of markup already (eg TEI)...there will be an XML version for use on the Web. ///Peter
