The last people to scroll horizontally include those employed in my
accounting firm, working today, and using spreadsheets to aid in client
bookkeeping. We have found spreadsheets to be useful when it is
necessary to record large numbers of checks written, extended in columns
to the appropriate expense account, with some built in formulas to sum
and compute balances.
