I thought I would check out what 3.01 has in store. Okay, JPEG's work correctly on 16 color systems, a pretty major fix. But what I am disappointed at, and probably will be for a long while, is all the HTML processing bugs, STYLE interpretation bugs, and display glitches that exist and have existed for a LONG time. Help me out, by talking the time to view the attached files. The HTML file includes some HTML 3.0 draft items among CSS1 style sheets (inlined) and points out many processing and display problems MSIE still has. I would like to hope that most people are like me and think that a browsers presentation of HTML is #1 on the things to maintain list. Apparently both MS and NS don't feel this way. I encourage people to take a look at this in as many browsers as possible and on as many OS's as possible, to see where MSIE is not alone. Of course not many other public browsers support CSS1 yet, but there are many other glitches. I also maintain a page addressed below on my server about MSIE bugs... Its old, but every bug, or quirk still applies. What can be done to get this fixed? Well, discuss the pro's and cons right here. Feel free to let me know of any errors in my HTML (some errors are done on purpose to highlight related problems), but most of all, spread the information to where it can reach related developers. BTW, Do you know how much smaller the GIF image would be in PNG format? 1/4th its GIF size! -|- Carl Morris (N0YUV) -|- 1:285/302 -|- msftrncs@htcnet.com -|- -|- Hooper Connections BBS -|- 1-(402)-654-2102 -|- 28.8kbps V.34 -|- -|- http://199.120.83.179/~moreese/ -|-
