Gregory - there are many, many ways in which it is possible to imagine FORMS being enhanced. I suggested a few myself a while ago even (sliders/dials, multi-click windows, and cascading/pull-right selection windows). Your multi-column idea is another valid one (though I'd like to be able to select just one field rather than a whole row). My impression is that FORMS are not being developed or considered much these days, particularly since JAVA came along. I think this is a shame, since FORMS offered a relatively simple method of scripting inter- or intranet hosted GUI's onto a variety of legacy applications (such as databases), particularly by people like me who have not been able to find the time to learn OO programming. -- __________________________________________________ Dr Simon Cox - Australian Geodynamics Cooperative Research Centre CSIRO Exploration & Mining, PO Box 437, Nedlands, WA 6009 Australia T: +61 9 284 8443 F: +61 9 389 1906 simon@ned.dem.csiro.au http://www.ned.dem.csiro.au/AGCRC/people/CoxSimon/
