Maybe I'm missing something here, but I don't see how you would do this
for multiple products on the same page - there's nothing tying a
particular product-name to a particular product-cat, etc.  That seems
critical.

Also, I don't think that providing support for validating/enforcing the
contents of the information is a minor issue.  META seems to get you
into the same kind of documentary equivalent of spaghetti code that
we've been discussing about CLASS.  I'm not sure I'd like to encourage
people to use such uncontrollable mechanisms for important information.
