RE: XHTML Modularization 1.1: errors in XML schema drivers for XHTML Basic 1.1 and XHTML 1.1

Dear Shane P. McCarron,
Thank you for your response.

I think it would be sad if XML Schema drivers for XHTML 1.1 and XHTML Basic 1.1 were removed from their location at
[http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml-modularization/SCHEMA/xhtml11.xsd] and
[http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml-modularization/SCHEMA/xhtml-basic10.xsd], especially since they are the most serious way to evaluate
XHTML modules, as argued also by Christoph
[http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-html-editor/2006JulSep/0006.html].

Furthermore, those drivers are the only up to date available versions, and it would be beneficial if the few reported errors
could be corrected anyway. The drivers could be marked as examples, similarly to the XHTML+MathML examples included in XHTML
Modularization. Moreover, removing them will break applications and schemas linking to them.

You ask for some patience, but the W3C XHTML 1.1 recommendation is from 31 May 2001 and XHTML Basic is from 19 December 2000,
i.e. both more than 5 years old...

Finally, you say that XHTML Basic 1.1 and XHTML 1.1 need to be updated but a new version of XHTML Basic is about to be released,
with unfortunately no mention of any XML Schema driver
[http://www.w3.org/TR/2006/WD-xhtml-basic-20060705/].

Cordially,
Alexandre

Just to follow up on my last mail: I know that those driver files are
included in the distribution. That is an error. The are NOT supposed
to be there. I am submitting a last call comment about that right now
so they are removed.

Sorry for the confusion.
