In reponse to your mail http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-html-editor/2001OctDec/0696.html about the XML Events specification http://www.w3.org/TR/2001/WD-xml-events-20011026/ I have summarised your comments, and include our response: * There is a problem using ID/IDREF in the absence of a schema or DTD We agree that this is true. There is nothing we can do about it however, since it is an architectural problem of XML. We assume the User Agent can identify the elements using some method not further specified.
