I was looking at the definition for the <INPUT> tag found at http://www.w3.org/TR/WD-html40-970708/interact/forms.html#edef-INPUT where it says that the end tag is forbidden. However, farther down in the same document under the <FIELDSET> and <LEGEND> sections there is an example that uses the <INPUT> in conjunction with </INPUT>. I am just wondering which one is correct?
