of the 1998 bill, "Lel Bruce Peto" informs, the partial exemption from the 
18.4 c/gal federal excise tax given to ethanol mixed with gasoline dropped 
slightly from 5.3 c/gal in 2002, to 5.2 c/gal beginning Jan. 1, 2003. That 
means the tax exemption this year for marketers blending with ethanol 
falls to: 
-13.2 c/gal for a 10% ethanol blend
-14.396 c/gal for a 7.7% ethanol blend
-and 15.436 c/gal for a 5.7% ethanol blend;
as of 01-07-03.
