Dear all,
could you please point me to software / technologies helpful
when looking for a standalone XForms data model implementation ?
Since UI does not matter in this case the sought solution would
just provide for dynamic persistent data storage supporting:
- literal and computed values (like xforms:bind/@calculate)
- constraint expressions on values (like xforms:bind/@constraint)
- data selection via a path/query langauge (XPath or e.g. TreeHugger for RDF)
- data model based on a XML info set (or RDF triple or quad model)
I had a look at active databases, which would require to define the
dependency graph explicitly using the underlying simple Event-
Condition-Action pattern. The proposal of an "standards-based
virtual machine" by Mark Birbeck seems to share the notion of a
dynamic data model (based on DOM), but it apparently did not get
implemented yet.
Any hints are appreciated, thank you!
