Bjoern: In your 'formal objection'[1], you reference this note[2], in which you further reference comments[3] you sent (to tmichel@w3.org, and cc'd to www-archive@w3.org) in 2003 regarding the XForms 1.0 test suite. The XForms Working Group wishes to respond to the concerns you've referenced, including this one, which seems to have 'slipped through the cracks', assumedly because it was not sent to a mailing list monitored by the group. You will notice that the XForms 1.0 test suite[4] has been completely revamped. The technical concerns, all of which were valid, raised in your 2003 note have all been addressed, and none of the erroneous documents to which you refer can any longer be accessed via any hyperlink from elsewhere on the public W3C XForms pages. Moreover, we are in fact actively maintaining the new test suite, and welcome any further input that would help us improve it. Sending any such feedback to the www-forms mailing list will help ensure that we will see and be able to respond to/implement suggestions for the test suite. It is highly unlikely that notes addressed as[3] had been -- only to tmichel@w3.org, and cc'd to www-archive@w3.org -- will come to the attention of the working group.
