RE: Newbie question: initial value with external itemset?

Thanks Mark,

Turns out I'd been using the correct method, but I'd given the initial value
a capital letter where the equivalent in the itemset was all lowercase. 

I was able to rule out a bunch of newbie suspicions thanks to your response.
You saved me a wack of time.
