Hi, I have reread section 9.11 and I don't think the work-around in my example works. It would insert something in the my:doc-init element instead of my:doc. So when my:doc contains no children, I don't see how something can be inserted in it. The element source for the deep copy and the insert target node-set should be separated for this to work.
