"match a selectors string" in the DOM spec doesn't do what it wants to be doing

It does "evaluate a selector" linking to 
http://dev.w3.org/csswg/selectors/#evaluate-a-selector which walks 
around child lists and so forth.  That's not what it's aiming to do.

Sadly, I don't think Selectors exposes a hook for what "evaluate a 
selector" wants to do.
