I'm not sure how much we care about this specification being correct or not, but e.g. initEvent() talks about "object's internal-propagation and default-action-prevention states" but searching for those states yields only that instance so it's not clear what it means for initEvent() to have effect on them. (I was trying to find out what in the DOM Standard's Historical chapter needs updating to match the current state of affairs.) -- http://annevankesteren.nl/
