Javascript DOM parser

Greetings:
	I'm using a DOM as a data vector between the front-tier (Javascript)  
and back-tier (PHP) working with XAJAX technology.
I'm looking for a simple, intuitive DOM parser that is browser  
agnostic.  Please send me info of any recent (2004-present)  
Javascript DOM parsing engines that I could use.
