Hi. Attached is a coloured map inicating answers to QB21 in the Special Eurobarometer 359 taken a year ago. The english rendering of it was: As you may know, some Internet companies are able to provide free search engines or free e-mail accounts thanks to the income they receive from advertisers trying to reach users on their websites. How comfortable are you with the fact that those websites use information about your online activity to tailor advertisements or content to your hobbies and interests? I note that "online activity" is very broad. The colouring ignores "don't know" answers; the blue component indicates comfort, the red component indicates discomfort. The machine-readable report data is safely locked away, much as the raw data of course, but there is PDF <http://ec.europa.eu/public_opinion/archives/ebs/ebs_359_en.pdf>. regards, -- Björn Höhrmann · mailto:bjoern@hoehrmann.de · http://bjoern.hoehrmann.de Am Badedeich 7 · Telefon: +49(0)160/4415681 · http://www.bjoernsworld.de 25899 Dagebüll · PGP Pub.
