Hi All, The WebApps WG is planning to advance its view-mode Media Feature (VMMF) spec from CR to PR in the coming weeks (see below for some details). Since the VMMF spec has a Normative reference for Media Queries, we would like to know the CSS WG's plans for Media Queries, in particular the schedule to advance it to PR (and REC). -Thanks, Art Barstow -------- Original Message -------- Subject: CfC: publish Proposed Recommendation of view-mode Media Feature; deadline July 27 Resent-Date: Wed, 20 Jul 2011 14:31:12 +0000 Resent-From: <public-webapps@w3.org> Date: Wed, 20 Jul 2011 10:30:41 -0400 From: ext Arthur Barstow <art.barstow@nokia.com> To: public-webapps <public-webapps@w3.org> As mentioned in [1], the exit criteria of the view-mode Media Feature Candidate Recommendation [2] has been met (at least two implementations pass every test): http://dev.w3.org/2006/waf/widgets-vmmf/imp-report/ As such, this is Call for Consensus to publish a Proposed Recommendation (PR) of this spec. Note the Process Document includes the following regarding the entrance criteria for a PR and the WG's requirements: [[ http://www.w3.org/2005/10/Process-20051014/tr.html#cfr * Shown that each feature of the technical report has been implemented. Preferably, the Working Group SHOULD be able to demonstrate two interoperable implementations of each feature. ]] If you have any comments about this proposal, please send them to public-webapps@w3.org by July 27 at the latest. Positive response is preferred and encouraged and silence will be considered as agreeing with the proposal. -Art Barstow [1] http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-webapps/2011JulSep/0383.html [2] http://www.w3.org/TR/2010/CR-view-mode-20100624/
