Anne has pointed out that there's a minor correction needs to be made to the requested URLs. I'm sure the Webmaster would have noticed and asked anyway, but the correction also makes me think we might need to more carefully consider the choices of shortnames for the FPWDs. The correction is that the "Latest version" URLs should not have "/2010" in their pathnames, so that would leave us with: http://www.w3.org/TR/html5/ http://www.w3.org/TR/html5-diff/ http://www.w3.org/TR/rdfa-in-html/ http://www.w3.org/TR/2dcontext/ http://www.w3.org/TR/md/ http://www.w3.org/TR/markup/ The first three are updated WDs that have already been published at those URLs, so no problems there. The last three are the FPWDs whose shortnames I think we need to consider more carefully. Anne mentioned that he believed we decided that "md" should be "microdata" instead. I don't remember a decision about that, but I does seem that "microdata" as the short name is more clear than "md". And I also think we should further qualify the shortnames for the other FPWDs. The set of new shortnames I propose for those is: http://www.w3.org/TR/canvas-2d/ http://www.w3.org/TR/microdata/ http://www.w3.org/TR/html-markup/ Sam Ruby <rubys@intertwingly.net>, 2010-03-02 17:42 -0500: > This request covers six documents, all of which have been approved by the > W3C Interaction Domain lead, and all to be published on March 4th: > > HTML5 - http://dev.w3.org/html5/spec/ > HTML Canvas 2D Context - http://dev.w3.org/html5/2dcontext/ > HTML Microdata - http://dev.w3.org/html5/md/ > HTML+RDFa - http://dev.w3.org/html5/rdfa/ > HTML: The Markup Language - http://dev.w3.org/html5/markup/ > HTML5 Differences from HTML4 - http://dev.w3.org/html5/html4-differences/ > > Specifically: > > ============ > > For http://dev.w3.org/html5/spec/, the request is to publish that document > in TR space with the following "This Version", "Previous Version URIs", and > latest version URIs: > > http://www.w3.org/TR/2010/WD-html5-20100304/ > http://www.w3.org/TR/2010/WD-html5-20090825/ > http://www.w3.org/TR/2010/html5/ > > ============ > > For http://dev.w3.org/html5/2dcontext/, the request is to publish that > document in TR space as a FPWD with the following "This Version" and "Latest > Version" URIs: > > http://www.w3.org/TR/2010/WD-2dcontext-20100304/ > http://www.w3.org/TR/2010/2dcontext/ > > Approval: > > http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Member/chairs/2010JanMar/0069.html > > Description: > > This specification defines the 2D Context for the HTML canvas element. > > ============ > > For For http://dev.w3.org/html5/md/, the request is to publish that document > in TR space as a FPWD with the following "This Version" and "Latest Version" > URIs: > > http://www.w3.org/TR/2010/WD-md-20100304/ > http://www.w3.org/TR/2010/md/ > > Approval: > > http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Member/chairs/2010JanMar/0068.html > > Description: > > This specification defines the HTML microdata mechanism, which allows > machine-readable data to be embedded in HTML documents in an easy-to-write > manner, with an unambiguous parsing model. > > ============ > > For http://dev.w3.org/html5/rdfa/, the request is to publish that document > in TR space with the following "This Version", "Previous Version URIs", and > "Latest Version" URIs: > > http://www.w3.org/TR/2010/WD-rdfa-in-html-20100304/ > http://www.w3.org/TR/2009/WD-rdfa-in-html-20091015/ > http://www.w3.org/TR/2009/rdfa-in-html/ > > ============ > > For http://dev.w3.org/html5/markup/, the request is to publish that document > in TR space as a FPWD with the following "This Version" and "Latest Version" > URIs: > > http://www.w3.org/TR/2010/WD-markup-20100304/ > http://www.w3.org/TR/2010/markup/ > > Approval: > > http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Member/chairs/2010JanMar/0067.html > > Description: > > This document describes the HTML markup language and provides details > necessary for producers of HTML content to create documents that conform to > the language. > > ============ > > For http://dev.w3.org/html5/html4-differences/, the request is to publish > that document in TR space with the following "This Version", "Previous > Version", and "Latest Version" URIs: > > http://www.w3.org/TR/2010/WD-html5-diff-20100304/ > http://www.w3.org/TR/2009/WD-html5-diff-20090825/ > http://www.w3.org/TR/2009/html5-diff/ > > ============ > > - Sam Ruby > -- Michael(tm) Smith http://people.w3.org/mike
