Just a bookmark, I have never seen it mentioned anywhere but we could imagine to use the HTTP Link header for CreativeCommons License. For example an image "mouse" at http://example.org/foo/mouse with a license BY-NC-ND could be sent with the following HTTP headers: HTTP/1.1 200 OK Date: Fri, 17 Dec 2010 21:02:04 GMT Last-Modified: Sat, 11 Dec 2010 23:45:39 GMT Expires: Fri, 24 Dec 2010 21:02:04 GMT Location:mouse.png Accept-Ranges: bytes Content-Length: 41552 Content-Type: image/png Link: <http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/>; rel=license -- Karl Dubost Montréal, QC, Canada http://www.la-grange.net/karl/
