Incorrect. ...Or they could just ignore over two years of work, as was the case with Access Control, create their own proposal (Surely you mean create a proposal for a different feature. We never asked AC to be retired) and implementation in secret (I thought we disclosed this on our own accord. That is not a secret) and then attempt to fast track it through standardization ignoring due process (fast-track? We proposed it on email. Of course, how this got resolved (survey etc) had nothing to do with us. If there was another process we at that time were unaware). > -----Original Message----- > From: public-webapps-request@w3.org [mailto:public-webapps- > request@w3.org] On Behalf Of Marcos Caceres > Sent: Monday, June 16, 2008 3:02 PM > To: Doug Schepers > Cc: Anne van Kesteren; www-archive@w3.org; public-webapps@w3.org > Subject: Re: Improving Communication and Expectations > > > On Tue, Jun 17, 2008 at 2:32 AM, Doug Schepers <schepers@w3.org> wrote: > > Yes, that does sound like an opportunity to get closer alignment. > Microsoft > > should attend the telcons, if they have an investment (in some sense) > in the > > technology and want to contribute. > > > > ...Or they could just ignore over two years of work, as was the case > with Access Control, create their own proposal and implementation in > secret and then attempt to fast track it through standardization > ignoring due process. > > -- > Marcos Caceres > http://datadriven.com.au > http://standardssuck.org >
