I hope you can understand you are not helping yourself at all by
creating a "hostile participant" category and placing into it
somebody who took time to respond to one of your proposals. Nor
are you helping yourself much by elsewhere using words like
"insanity" to refer to his comments.

In this particular case, I think you've misunderstood Andrew. And
knowing him myself, I can certainly say that you have misread him
as being hostile. But what you have probably accomplished is to
make it more likely that he'll be disinclined to comment
positively on any further proposals you might put forward.
