First of all, as far as I know Amaya uses OpenGL for rendering (although I'm not sure if it applies to image rendering in particular). If your drivers are buggy and/or outdated, this might trigger weird issues such as this one. I'd suggest you check this first. Second, you didn't provide any version information. Are you using the latest stable version (10.0) or the latest unstable (10.1-pre5)? You can check this using the Help/About option. Also, you may try switching versions (uninstall/install) in order to check if the problem fades away. Third, it might be an Amaya problem. Can you help the development team by isolating the potential issue? * Try embedding a different JPEG file and see if it works (problem might be from that specific JPEG); * Try in another machine (Windows 2000 if possible, as I've never seen that problem in Windows XP); * Try embedding the image with problems in another HTML file (the problem might be a weird HTML+images interaction). If any of the previous items is applicable, please attach the relevant files in a packed format (ZIP, for example) so the developers can take a look at. > or is it time to remove the program from my system? Of course you are free to decide. I can't speak in name of the Amaya team but, in general, being able to enjoy a great piece of software with freedom (not just free) can sometimes require a little effort from the users also, as often there aren't enough resources to perform testing: usually the community gives a hand with this. Hope this helps, Helder Magalhães [1] http://www.w3.org/Amaya/User/BinDist.html
