Hi I'm trying to run amaya on FreeBSD 6.3 on AlphaServer. I installed amaya from ports: % pkg_info -xI amaya amaya-9.55_3 The W3C's testbed web editor/browser % I get this error on running amaya on a remote machine: % xset fp % amaya Gdk-ERROR **: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation) serial 128 error_code 2 request_code 51 minor_code 0 In 2006 mailing list archives I've seen a recommendation to use strace to trace the problem. However strace is not available from ports for Alpha. Is anybody running amaya on Alpha? What exactly does the error message means? amaya depends (amongst other packages) on gtk-1.2.10_20. Perhaps it should be built with gtk-2.12.11? many thanks anton -- Anton Shterenlikht Room 2.6, Queen's Building Mech Eng Dept Bristol University University Walk, Bristol BS8 1TR, UK Tel: +44 (0)117 928 8233 Fax: +44 (0)117 929 4423
