Hi, As I already reported, Amaya 9-54 crashes on my Fedora Core 6 box with this message: "The program 'amaya_wx' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'. (Details: serial 559 error_code 8 request_code 146 minor_code 3) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it. To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)" I had finally lost any hope when, by pure accident, I fired up Amaya through the Nautilus File Manager on Gnome as Amaya is one of the programms associated to the ".html" extension. And then, Bingo ! It starts, it runs, I can happily edit my files (other bugs notwistanding) and even open and edit other files. I have no clues so as to why this works, beyond the very foggy idea that Nautilus would "shield" the graphic system system from the misbehaviour of the wxWidgets (since this is becoming a popular explanation for these crashes). I hope this may help some Amaya-widow users and give a clue to our debugging gurus. Cheers, Serge Torres
