With Amaya 9.52 October 18 2006, from the CVS about 7 hours ago, on
Debian 3.1 Stable, I found a problem with the new "Keep multiple spaces"
option. The problem doesn't occur when this option is off. It is
generally reproducible by editing:

  http://astroneu.com

On the bottom line, place the cursor just at the left of "This site . .
". Press space. All is well. Move cursor to the left (I think this
activates the space handling code) and strange things appear. I see
invalid characters at the right of "... website".

In source view, there are a bunch of weird characters which I can't
copy, since I am unable to make Edit > Copy work.

The problem happens most times, but not always. It may take a few
spaces to make it happen, or a few spaces and then some right cursor
movement. In one instance the source was:

     ~~~ This site and my main website
     ƀ!&#x407cc39c;<a
The amount of gobbledgook varies, but it always seems to be in this
location, just before the "<a" .
