I had an identical problem with 9.3. Now, after installing 9.4, neither 9.3 or 9.4 work. I uninstalled 9.3, 9.4, and reinstalled 9.4. Doesn't help. I had an identical problem about a month ago, installing 9.3. After 30 minutes of searching, I found the email containing the solution to the 9.3 problem: I needed to hand-create "c:\documents and settings\$USER\amaya", then create in it "list_url_utf8.dat" Well, that dir and file are there. It doesn't help. The Windows installation instruction - http://www.w3.org/Amaya/User/InstallW.html - give no help either.
