Please tell me why my nonce is incorrect

I signed up for the public annotation service and received by confirmation token, but when I try to enter it using the URLs provided, I get the following error:
Error:The nonce you supplied "XXXXXXXXXXXXX" was incorrect.
I, of course, replaced the real token with Xs for this message.

I'd really like to use the service.  Any idea what's up?
