Apologies. The message I sent last night was written
when I should have gone to bed! A corrected version
is below:

On 20-Jan-06 Ted Harding wrote:
I wanted to compile Amaya on an old Linux distribution
(SuSE 7.2 from 2001). So I looked at some Amaya versions
which came out a bit later than that time, since these
might be compatible with my Linux installation of that
time:

http://www.w3.org/Amaya/Distribution/
  amaya-LINUX-ELF-8.0.tgz 23-Apr-2003 13:59
  amaya-LINUX-ELF-8.1.tgz 08-Jul-2003 14:55
  amaya-LINUX-ELF-8.2.tgz 13-Nov-2003 16:26

For each one, after I had untarred it there was no 'configure'
in the tree.

What can I do about this?

With thanks,
Ted.
