Yes Amaya doesn't include tags when copying from the Structure view or the 
Formatted view. It's able to copy/paste the structure, but not the syntax.
You can experiment a copy/paste of a paragraph or list item:
- click within a paragraph or list item,
- F2 to select the structureed element
- copy it
- then select another position and paste the structured element

If you want to include tags you should copy from the Source view.

Yes, show is only used to select the second open view when there are two open 
views (split horizontally or vertically). By default the source view is 
shown.

This seems a wxWidget bug.
We'll see if we can fix it.
Meanwhile you can resize the Preferences window.
