Some days ago I reported a problem/bug with commented out tags. This
problem report applies to v. 8.7.4 as well:

The problem is this: before I load a html file into amaya I edit it 'by
hand' (within emacs). At that stage the file contains commented out tags
 like

Then I load the file into amaya, do some further editing and save the
file. When I reload that file inti emacs the embedded tag has been changed:

In some cases that is a major problem, ie. if I have temporarily
commented out html code for future reactivation.
