Recently I compiled Amaya 8.7.2 from source for Redhat Core 2. This release doesn't compile with standard options, so I had to use the configure options "--with-gtk --disable-annot --disable-redland" Most likely this has nothing to do with a problem I'm encountering: When I load into Amaya a html file with a comment tag (<!-- bla-bla -->) containing another tag, e.g. <!-- <a name="new0" href="#new1"></a> --> and do further editing within amay, then amaya replaces the tag marks ('<' and '>') within the comment tag with the corresponding entities < and > I haven't been able to figure out how to disable that 'interesting feature' and have downgraded to release 8.7 until I know how to handle that problem. I make frequent use of commenting out sections of html code, so ... Could someone please enlighten me?
