I wanted to demonstrate annotations in Amaya but I'm still having problems. I'm looking v. 9.1 Feb 23 2005 in Windows XP. I think I have reported this earlier but I cannot find it now. Maybe I could still use it in unix. I can select "annotate selection" from a menu and it creates a new pencil but the annotation window where you write the content to does not open. Also I can see earlier done annotations coming from remote server but I cannot open them in an annotation window. It would be nice to be able to demonstrate these as people are talking so much about tagging, social bookmarks etc. and those are things that Annotea annotations (and shared bookmarks with topics) allow users to do except that they can store Annotea objects (annotations, topics, bookmarks) in their own servers, subscribe several existing servers, and even publish and subscribe Annotea objects (right now demonstrated with Annotea bookmarks and topics) as web documents.
