Hi! I downloaded Amaya 8.6 installation package for Win98 from W3 site and after successful installation I tried to launch it. It did nothing -- no error message, just silent termination. I tried to watch it using Dependency Walker (which, although it shown some unresolved imports, did not reveal any real problem), and then using FileMon. In FileMon, I spotted that Amaya tried to open files under "C:\Program Files\Amaya\users\MyUserName\". After that, I have found that there is no folder called "users" in the Amaya folder after the installation. So I created it and also the folder with the same name as my username inside it. After that operation, Amaya starts just fine. So maybe Amaya should check for existence of the folder and create it if it does not exist (well, or at least give some error indication...). (Once again for clarity: I tried that under Windows 98SE -- Czech version, if that matters.) Regards, Petr Kadlec -- Petr Kadlec <mormegil@centrum.cz> ICQ #68196926, http://mormegil.wz.cz/
