compile errors from Bryan Koschmann - GKT on 2003-10-23 (www-amaya@w3.org from October to December 2003)

Hi,

I've been trying to compile version 1.8b. I've checked the archives but
couldn't find anything.

Running 'make all' it dies with the following:

make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/Amaya/LINUX-ELF'
make[2]: Entering directory `/usr/src/Amaya/LINUX-ELF/annotlib'
make[2]: Nothing to be done for `libAnnot'.
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/Amaya/LINUX-ELF/annotlib'
make[2]: Entering directory `/usr/src/Amaya/LINUX-ELF/thotlib'
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/Amaya/LINUX-ELF/thotlib'
make[2]: Entering directory `/usr/src/Amaya/LINUX-ELF/tablelib'
make[2]: Nothing to be done for `libThotTable'.
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/Amaya/LINUX-ELF/tablelib'
make[1]: *** No rule to make target `-lpng', needed by `../bin/amaya'.
Stop.
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/Amaya/LINUX-ELF/amaya'


What could be the problem? It did the same on 1.8 as well.
