bug-report: Editing PRE elements

I am finding Amaya crashes when I am editing in or around PRE elements. Is
this a known problem?

There does not seem to be any particular pattern - mostly it works fine, but
sometimes it just crashes (I will try running Amaya from a shell so i get
some error information)
