For the issue that I talk about, French Amaya _is_ affected - just as all other non-english localizations of Amaya on Mac OS X. [...] > Amaya doesn't really use the specific Mac OS X mecanism > Amaya.app/Contents/Resources/. It uses its own mecanism on all platforms. > Wrong. Amaya uses it, you just don't realize it. If you fail to place a fr.proj folder inside Resources, then actuallly: * you are instructing the system to consider Amaya as an English application – regardless of whether you select «en (French)» in the Amaya preferences or not. And regardless of whether your system is French or English or Norwegian or what. * this means that those menus which are offered by the OS X system - such as the Amaya menu (with the «Quit Amaya» and «Preferences» submenus) - will be presented in English. * the same goes for the Help menu. And the Windows menu. _With_ a 'fr.lproj' folder, you will/can get a Fenętre menu instead, as well as _two_ Aide menus (just Like I get two Norwegian Hjelp menus). The two Aide menus goes away if you remove the translation for the Help menu. But perhaps you have another way to solve this problem? -- leif
