The Protocols and Formats Working Group announces the *Last Call Working
Draft* of Role Attribute 1.0:
http://www.w3.org/TR/2011/WD-role-attribute-20110113/.
Start with the instructions for commenting page
<http://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/comments/instructions> to submit comments
(preferred), or send email to public-pfwg-comments@w3.org. Comments
should be made by *25 February 2011*. In-progress updates to the
document may be viewed in the publicly visible editors' draft at
/WAI/PF/role-attribute/.
PFWG approval to publish as Last Call is archived at
http://www.w3.org/2010/12/08-pf-minutes#item11.
General requirements for Role Attribute 1.0 are described in the Roadmap
for Accessible Rich Internet Applications (WAI-ARIA Roadmap), which was
last updated 4 February 2008
(http://www.w3.org/TR/2008/WD-wai-aria-roadmap-20080204/). The Role
Attribute provides a mechanism to associate WAI-ARIA roles with elements
in XML-based markup languages.
There have been no Formal Objections raised.
In light of the above, the following Working Groups are particularly
requested to review Role Attribute 1.0:
* SVG
* RDFa
