Status Update on ARIA Last Call Comments

Dear Colleagues:

Having just concluded a very successful face to face meeting, PF wishes
to update everyone on our status resolving the public comments we've
formally received to our ARIA last call.

1.) We're pleased to report that we're more than half way through the
process. Additionally, we would note that we took on the more
challenging ones first, so the ones we've yet to tackle should be
resolvable with greater ease and less time.

2.) As previously noted, because we must carefully avoid conflicts and
insure our consensus resolutions are consistent, it is necessary to have
the full set of comments available for consideration--and possible
modification--at one time. This is why we have not communicated any of
our resolutions. However, you are welcome to check on the general status
of your comment to us in our database at:

http://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/comments/

3.) Lastly, out of an abundance of caution we have resolved to publish a
stabilization draft after concluding work on comments, and then proceed
to a second Last Call Working Draft, with a new formal public comment
period, in order to ensure we have not created new issues in addressing
the existing ones. We will announce our timeline for this as soon as we are
able following the completion of current comment processing.
