ISSUE: ARIA 5/14 Draft, Figure 1.0 is unclear and poorly styled. Perhaps unnecessary. I'm not sure what the "Data" and "UI" ellipses are representing in the diagram, and I'm not sure why they are ellipses and the other blocks are rectangles; it doesn't appear this follows the IA "visual vocabulary." I'm not sure why some of the arrows are multi-directional and some are unidirectional. I'm not sure why the AT item has a drop shadow and the other items don't. I'm not sure where user agents would fit into this contract model. I'm not sure if AT represents accessibility APIs, or if AT represents actual assistive technology that also interfaces with the accessibility APIs. Most importantly, I'm not sure the diagram adds anything worthwhile to the spec. I suggest we either remove Figure 1.0 entirely, or if a diagram is absolutely essential, attempt to recreate it from scratch.
