aloha, al!

you asked, quote:

yes -- and here's some hard data for you....

in the HTML Options in JAWS configuration manager, for example, the
following settings have been available since 5.x -- note that a left
parenthesis followed by a space and then a right parenthesis indicates a
radio button (all of the options below, save for one edit box, are radio
buttons)

---- Begin JAWS HTML Graphics Options ----
Graphic Verbosity
( ) No Graphics
( ) Tagged Graphics
( ) All Graphics

Graphics Options
( ) Use Title
( ) Use Alt Attribute
( ) Use "OnMouseOver ToolTip"
( ) Use Longest
( ) Custom Search String
Define Graphic Option Search Order (edit box)
     alt|title|src

Graphical Link Last Resort:
( ) Use Image's src
( ) Use Anchor's href
---- End JAWS HTML Graphics Options ----
