RE: Accessibility of minimum line-height solution

Thank you for the quick response!

"no loss of content or functionality occurs by setting". My eyes went straight for the bullet list and bypassed the critical part of the criterion.

This is good news, all we have to do is convert any fixed line-heights to relative and test that we can resize the line-spacing without clipping or overlapping rather than redo all of our stylesheets.

The tool we use for ongoing reporting between audits is SiteImprove. The error description (screen cap below) makes it seem as there should be a minimum value rather than ensuring that spacing can be reset to at least the minimum value.

Hi OC Web Team,

We can point you to some information, however, we cannot confirm that your solution is accessible.

First, understand what 1.4.12 requires and does not require. Please read carefully:

        https://can01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2FWAI%2FWCAG21%2FUnderstanding%2Ftext-spacing.html&data=04%7C01%7Cwebadmin%40octranspo.com%7Cb7a3393008ae4f543bc708d9d773642a%7Cdfcc033ddf874c6ea1b88eaa73f1b72e%7C0%7C0%7C637777712870399745%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000&sdata=zxtsrnyZ4TqmSWfh%2BnWRjw%2B0exqI4%2F%2FcWEvXU0igrYk%3D&reserved=0

And note:

* 1.4.12 does not dictate that authors must set all their content to line height of at least 1.5

* 1.4.12 is intended to ensure that users can override author specified text spacing to improve their reading experience

There are many instances across many templates. We have tested adding a line-height: min(1.5); to the p tags and it passes the automated testing and visually adds space where needed, but we would like confirmation that this solution is accessible prior having it implemented site-wide. Please advise.
