Re: ATAG Report Tool - Initial input on new resource

Hi Kris Anne,

Thanks for responding to the ATAG Report Tool survey.

In reply to your questions:

> I think it should be stand-alone from the authoring tools list - but once they have a conformance report will they be able to put their tool on the Authoring Tools List?

Yes, that would be the idea. There is no direct button that would submit this info, but I think it's a good suggestion, have added an issue for it: https://github.com/w3c/wai-atag-report-tool/issues/30 <https://github.com/w3c/wai-atag-report-tool/issues/30>

> Is that required to be on the Tools List?

I'd say that is to be decided, I can imagine we would provide multiple mechanisms and recommend people to use this mechanism.

> Because I'm not that familiar with ATAG, are there other tools like this that would output a JSON file that we would need to be able to have users submit?

There are none (that I know of).

Thanks for noticing. This is a bug, I have filed it under https://github.com/w3c/wai-atag-report-tool/issues/31 <https://github.com/w3c/wai-atag-report-tool/issues/31> (feel free to subscribe to stay up to date on progress)

This is for technical reasons, it's a bug in the “routing” (moving between “pages” in this “single page app”). I have resolved this since your review, we now move focus to the first heading, which is at the top.

Best,
Hidde
