Hi Michael, The code in the tutorials is mainly to demonstrate the principles that we teach in the tutorials and are not meant as ready-to-go components. While we tried to make versatile, easy-to-adapt code, it was not tested beyond the examples in the tutorials and not intended for use beyond them.
