Issue with Accessible Fly Out Menus

I am having an issue with the menus on this page:

I have duplicated the code for the Use Parent as Toggle code version and 
while it works, if I have more than option that has a sub-menu (and they 
are side by side), there is some weird behavior occurring.

If I move in between two menu options side by side with sub-menus 
quickly (hovering with a mouse), it leaves one open and won't close it.

Also, using a keyboard, if tabbing through two options side by side with 
submenus,  it is not closing the first submenu before switching to the 
second.  (I'm not sure if this is normal behavior)

Any help would be appreciated.
