Re: Eval Report Template [was: [wbs] response to 'Resource Management Survey']

Shawn,

Your summary of Shadi's earlier remarks are not in sync with how I read them. Maybe Shadi can clarify.

Hi Howard & Shadi,

Sorry, I totally missed this thread -- I cannot find it anywhere in my e-mail. :( [1]

Anyway, my understanding is that Shadi suggests that at the URI:
        https://www.w3.org/WAI/eval/template.html
is either:
1. a pointer to the report at <https://www.w3.org/WAI/eval/report-tool/#/view_report>
or
2. a copy of that report.

However, I don't understand "add any missing bits, and update the references to WCAG 2.0".

Hi Shadi,

I was a bit on the fence on whether this was still a necessary resource. So the points you make seem very valid. I'd be glad to have your help in updating the document.

Regards,
Howard

Actually I think this is still very useful and relevant. For example, I
was recently in a meeting where they were discussing a common reporting
format for all public websites in Europe so that they can be monitored.
It occurred to me that only very few people know how to go directly to
the "view report" step of the report tool to get a template report (and
even then, things like "executive summary" are missing from that view).
Many - especially non-technical people - might not start fiddling with
tools to see if it can generate a report template, not matter how clear
we make it in the instructions for the tool...

Anyway, I think this could be a very very simple thing (and hopefully I
didn't jinx it now) - basically copy and paste the "view report" stuff
from the report tool, add any missing bits, and update the references to
WCAG 2.0. I would be happy to help you!

Best,
    Shadi
